All families wishing to enroll their child in the St. Philip the Apostle Religious Education program, must be registered members of our parish.  The registration process began in Spring of 2007.  Registration only ended for re-registrants on July 8, 2007.  Any re-registration after the July 15th extended deadline must pay a $20 late fee.   Those wishing to register a new child in our program are asked to please submit a copy of the child's baptismal certificate along with the application form and the appropriate fee.

The Registration Fees are as follows:

  • One child - $80.00
  • Two children - $120.00
  • Three or more children - $160.00

The staff for the program is made up of many happy volunteers who serve in the following capacities: Catechists, Catechists Aides and Office Assistants. If you are interested in volunteering for the program, please call the Religious Education Office.  You help is needed and truly appreciated!

Preparation for both the child's First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are made in 2nd Grade of Sunday catechism.  Children must complete the 1st grade to make their sacraments in 2nd grade.  Additional information, parental catechesis meetings and sacrament books will be available to the parents to assist them help their child with their sacramental preparation.   The preparation for Confirmation is made in the 8th grade during Monday Catechism.  Children must complete the 3rd through 7th grades to make their Confirmation in 8th grade.  Additional Confirmation classes and a required all-day Retreat are requirements for the sacrament.
