For older children who have not gone through with formal religious education or who have not received the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist or Confirmation, we have a program designed to enrich your life with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

 

This parish can provide the guidance you need:

·         To join the Catholic Church.

·         When you are baptized as a child into the Catholic faith, but who have not yet completed the initiation in the Church because you have not celebrated the sacraments.

·         When you have been baptized in church by another Christian denomination and you now want to be received in the Catholic Church.

 

RCIYA is an opportunity to explore the richness of our beloved Catholic Church, its belief, traditions and practices. Our RCIYA process is for children over seven and younger teens who have not been baptized. New members are accepted at any time of the year.

 

If you know of someone who would like to become Catholic, speak to them about contacting our parish. Many converts tell us they became interested in the Catholic faith through their friends.

You may even take that one step further by joining during this process as a sponsor. By choosing to be a sponsor, you would easr the transition into the parish community and as a friendly companion with whom the candidate can discuss their thoughts and concerns about their undertaking.

As the sponsor, you can walk with the candidate on their journey to full initiation into understanding our Lord Jesus Christ and our Mother Church. Sponsors are confirmed, practicing Catholics who are open to growth in their personal faith, are willing to share their own faith journey, and can attend certain scheduled sessions.
